Awwww really? There's nothing wrong with that. ^^ I mean, privacy is a big deal when it comes to the internet. I just hope there wasn't any negative experience that made you make this choice.
I did it out of sheer paranoia, actually. I want to use my LJ to be able to rant about my life offline (to like, use full names and go into intense detail and everything), and keeping it f-locked is a surefire way that my any of my IRL friends can't read it and recognize their names and realize when I'm ranting about them in my LJ.
Oh, I see. Well, that's good. I've heard of someone having this negative experience and then having to change her journal to friends only. I see. Well, that's good ^^ I mean, if it makes you feel safer when doing so then by all means, go for it. There's nothing wrong with ranting online, especially since LJ is suppose to be some sort of journal anyway, right? And yeah, I never use specifics in my rants plus only one of my real life friends knows I post stuff online and the only detail she knows is that it's a 'blog.'
LOL, I tried to tell my friends about LJ, and they were just like 'waaat'.
That's why there's a huge separation between my fandom life and my regular life. My irl friends just wouldn't get it no matter how hard I try to explain.
I saw you on ONTD_Pixar and thought I'd check you out. I wasn't sure about adding you since Friends Only and then I saw your birthdate. I was born 12/16/82!
That's so awesome...plus I love the X-Files, Chuck/Blair, Barney/Robin and Castle/Beckett, too.
NO WAY This is exciting! We share the same birthday!
That, plus XF (which i need to watch more of, damn you doctor who >__>), C/B (which i love forever, despite my dropping the series) B/R and Castle/Beckett (i miss that show sob), I see no reason why I shouldn't add you back~
Aww, you dropped Gossip Girl, was it because of the season finale? I never wavered in Chuck/Blair will end up together no matter what. However, I was annoyed that I was allowed to believe he was dead because there are very few well-dressed tv characters and they seem to have a high mortality rate! I've even started reading the books.
I don't easily drop a show. There has to be a repetitive sequence of events of suckiness to make me drop a show and even then... Well, I stopped watching new episodes of The X-Files during its last season, but I still saw the series finale and the second movie. I got started on X-Files when my friends and I went to the movie after ninth grade for her birhday. It's funny, none of us really wanted to go but her sister was going to see Can't Hardly Wait with one of her friends the next day and didn't want to see it before then. They didn't like the movie that well, but I loved it and a new obsession was born
