Not gonna lie. Smith swanned in and stole the title of My Doctor. I think it took about two episodes for that to happen, too.

Would you like a piece of horrifying info about myself? Tennant was my first Doctor. Properly, I mean. I'd seen a special or two with Eight without knowing what it was I was watching - at the time I thought it was a film - and then I skipped Nine to see Tennant because of reasons. So I'm terribly biased on my opinions, I got so hooked by his charm that I really couldn't (can't) see anyone else as the Doctor. But I will give this lad a chance. I like his voice :D

Eight only ever appeared in one thing - the ill-advised Dr Who Movie, which aired in 1998, I think.

And you mean you entirely skipped One to Nine? OMG. LOL. Five was my first Doctor, back when I was tiny, but Eleven has stolen my heart. I even have fannish icons...

Five for me, too. And then Nine came along and I had a crisis of Doctors.

And then Eleven swanned in and WHOOPS. No crisis. He just stole the whole thing.

At the end of Tennant episodes I wanted him to leave (or was it the writers?), anyway, give 11 a chance and you'll love him :D

I loved Nine, and then I loved Ten, so I went back and watched all of Four, and loved him, too...Then some of Three, some of Five, the one of Eight, some of One, a bit of Two and Six, and Seven...in short, quite like the Doctor I popped up all over the place in different eras. I didn't love them all, but now I watch Eleven, and guess what-I love him, too!

To be honest, I never understood why there had to be a favourite Doctor. Indeed, some of them I love and some I just like a lot, but my appreciation of them is different and can't be put in order. (Not to mention that the companions influence me as well.) I just opened my heart and let myself enjoy them for their differences.:)

I adore Tom Baker, Christopher Eccleston is fantastic, David Tennant is really special to me, and Matt Smith is amazing. It is not possible to choose between them. Thankfully, it's not necessary, either.:)

Very glad you got into Doctor Who!

Argh, I'm sorry I took so long to reply.
I'll try and find all the previous Doctors, I'm curious now, and I want to see the other Master(s?) so I guess it'll be a busy time for me :D

I don't think you need a favourite either, it's simple: if you don't like the main character you don't watch the show, and this man is amazing no matter who's playing him.

I have to see more, never got past the first episode of the fifth season - there may be some time this weekend.

I'm very glad too! :D
