Today was fun. In a "it feels so good when I stop banging my head with a hammer" sort of way. I attended a 3-hour class sponsored by a bunch of federal and state agencies on the finer points of duck analysis. Duck analysis requires that you identify all the ducks, past, present and reasonably foreseeable future ones, and figure out the totals. Yesterday, about 20 of us went to an internal training course in personality styles. Fascinating. In case anyone knows anything about this, I'm an Amiable Driver, which means I'm more task oriented than people oriented, and that I tell people what to do rather than asking. But I'm nice about it. When stressed, I become autocratic. too true *

So at last both K and I have told our employers the scoop. I told my group manager, my business manager, my area manager and the department manager. Oh, and the national technical director. Tonight, I was D1's guest at a Mother's Day event at a chocolate factory. OMG, what a great idea! First we tasted various beer and chocolate combinations. Variety of beers and ditto choc; we were supposed to taste each beer (16 kinds) with each chocolate (8 kinds). There was even a form to fill out.
