so much time has gone by, i can't even begin to remember what happened last time, so, yeah >.> ummmmm, there was prom? and Conchord had a birthday, aaaaaand Taylor got yet another animal. i think that is about it for highlights, so, on with the show!
we start off this update with a little brother/sister bonding time.
Jordan: Hey, can I talk to you for a minute?
Taylor: Shoot.
Jordan: Okay, so, here's the thing.
Taylor: Just spit it out, bro. I can handle it.
Jordan: Sorry, it's just, I've had a lot on my mind lately, and I don't want to talk to mom or dad about it because I think they would pretty much freak out. I'm going to med school pretty soon, right? But mom and dad expect me to get married and churn out a bunch of kids, and I just don't think that I want to.
Taylor: Wow. Well, that wasn't what I thought you were going to say.
Taylor: Hey, I understand, okay? Mom and dad want me to do the same thing, because that's what generations of Doyles have been doing ever since, well, forever. But I don't think I want that either.
Taylor: I talked to dad about it once, he seemed pretty cool with it, he just wants us to be happy. If you don't want to have kids, then don't have kids, if you want to live on a llama farm and grow tomatoes and patchouli, then go for it!
Jordan: Thanks, sis. I think I feel a little better.
Taylor: Anytime.
that night Jordan still felt like he had unresolved issues with himself, he just couldn't figure it out.
so he just watched the stars and tried not to think too hard about all the crap that loomed ahead.
since Lily and Jordan's birthdays are so close together, everyone showed up for their joint birthday party. Itsy was pimp walkin' like a boss, son.
Lily: Hmmmm. What should I wish for?
Lily: Oh! I know!
*le poof*
Lily: NO WRINKLES!
Lily: Ah, crap. It didn't work.
don't worry, mama, you're still sexy.
Jordan decided to corner his grandfather and ask him for some advice. Itsy could smell another "dad talk" a brewin'.
Jordan: Grandpa? Can I talk to you?
Itsy: WHY GOD WHY!?
Jordan: How did you know that you wanted to have kids, and carry on the Doyle Legacy?
Jordan: Did it just sort of come to you, or did you really have to think about it?
Lily: Ugh. Where did I put that wrinkle cream?
Jordan: Do you know what I am saying?
Jordan: Because I don't think that I can do it! It scares the crap out of me, I don't want to be a dad! I want to be a doctor, and save lives, and not have to worry about a hundred kids at home, and a wife that I'll rarely get to see.
Itsy: Hold on a moment, son. Now, listen here. Nobody decides your future but you.
Itsy: Having kids isn't for everybody.
Itsy: But also remember, when you find the person you want to spend the rest of your life with, all that other stuff just falls into place.
Itsy: So just relax, okay? Don't think about such exhausting things, just worry about surviving college, first.
Jordan: Yeah?
Itsy: Trust me, kid. Things happen in due time, not when you want them to.
Itsy: I knew right away that I wanted to be with Katie forever, but that doesn't mean that the same thing is going to happen for you.
EDIT: LOL! XD just realized i put Lily instead of Katie. wow. that's when you know you've taken waaaaaaay too much time between updates, hahahaha!
Itsy: You understand what I am trying to get across here?
Jordan: I think so, yeah.
Jordan: Thanks Grandpa.
Itsy: Yep. Don't mention it.
and finally, the moment arrived.
Jordan made a wish on his birthday candles...
blew 'em out...
and aged up into a stone cold fox. helloooooo nurse.
*drool*
i can't.
Taylor: Hey, bro. Nice nerd frames.
Jordan: Hey, chesty. Nice lack of cup size.
Taylor: Burn.
omg, he's just delicious, i cannot handle it.
a brother/sister group photo! love these two so much, omg.
and graduation, finally!
Jordan prepares to go on to bigger and better things with his life. i think Con is getting a bit misty.
Con: *SNIIIFFFF* Am not!
Lily: Are too.
the next several weeks, the family tried to get into a normal groove, but everything was changing so quickly, it was looming over their heads that soon Jordan would move out, go to college, and become a man. right behind him Taylor would graduate and move on with her life. ahhh, nostalgia.
Taylor spent a lot of time out in the garden with Lola, trying to keep her mind off Jordan leaving for college.
she was going to miss him, but wouldn't tell him that, the jerk.
Lola: Toss some of them tomatoes down here, sweetcheeks.
Taylor is just adorbs, i cannot handle it.
and she has way too damn many animals, i am exhausted.
Appaloosa plains is so pretty, i really enjoy it.
and of course Leighton came over on occasion, though he was vigorously studying for final exams, and applying to colleges and entering into science fairs and other nerdy pursuits. he hardly had time for Taylor anymore, which bummed her out more than she was willing to admit.
and the cat was still fat as hell. just sayin'.
and the day arrived when Jordan moved out of the house and started med school.
he moved in with Lauren, his high school sweetie, who was taking journalism courses at the same college.
trouble in paradise soon blossomed, and Jordan found himself spending more and more time online, talking to somebody that he met on a science forum.
on the outside, they looked happy and content, but beneath the surface brewed some severe malcontent.
Jordan was even having trouble sleeping at night, and got up early to take a lap in the pool before getting ready for class.
Lauren noticed, and she was frustrated by it, especially since Jordan wouldn't talk to her about their issues.
Lauren: What is up with you?
Lauren: Why won't you just talk to me about this? You're so distant all the time.
Lauren: I mean, you don't even spend any time with me anymore, you're always on your computer, or studying for class.
Lauren: Say something!
Lauren: You owe it to me to explain!
Jordan: Owe you? I owe you an explanation for studying for med school?
Jordan: Do you know how stupid you sound right now?
Jordan: I am busy. All day. I have to study, I have to pass my courses, I have goals, and dreams, and if I have to not spend time with you in order to achieve them, then that's what has to happen.
Lauren: You know what? Fine! Whatever, I am done talking about it.
but she was more than a little bit upset that he would throw her aside so easily for school and everything. did she mean so little to him?
she tried being more understanding cooking his meals and trying to be quiet while he studied, and undemanding.
but, things just became more and more strained.
Jordan was talking to his online friend more and more these days. that he would connect with someone that he had never met more than his girlfriend was disturbing to him.
jordizzle1313: My girlfriend is so demanding of me right now, she wants things that I just cannot give her. It's exhausting.
chuckydarwinfan02: Maybe you should just tell her that, then?
jordizzle1313: It's just not that easy.
chuckydarwinfan02: Maybe you're just making it harder than it has to be.
maybe that's exactly what he was doing.
he continued to go to school, interning at the local hospital, and loving that part of his life. at home, though, he was miserable.
and during his lunch break he would find time to talk to his online friend, getting more and more involved as the time passed.
their relationship was beginning to deepen, and Jordan didn't even realize that it was happening.
Lauren tried self help books and everything, but things just kept getting worse...
and that's all for now! woo! so much drama in this update, and finally a large dose of Jordan! it was starting to become the Taylor 24/7 channel there for a bit LOL! XD
