[RL with Lucy - Irinika - An uninvited guest]

Aug 26, 2008 04:15

Determining Lucy's location had been difficult; Karakael had hid her well in his universe, with a multitude of planets and species to rival his own. And unlike his search for the Doctor, whose mind and essence were so ingrained into his memory it was like finding his own limb, Lucy was a mere human. It had taken him nearly a day there in his ( Read more... )

Lucy adjusted her hair one last time before the mirror, tugging at her skirt to make sure it fell right. She looked perfectly bland; beautiful but not memorable, consummately professional. It was important not to draw any undue attention to herself from the actual citizens of Irinika, after all ( ... )

The Master's eyes were oddly bloodshot when he looked up at Lucy. A smirk tugged at the corners of his lips as he gripped the handle of his cane tightly.

"There was never any doubt," he purred, a lethally low tenor. "You've certainly seen firsthand how tenacious I can be, Lucy."

He slid a hand up the banister slowly. "You can scream if you like. Who knows, it may make things more interesting, and you know how long it's been since I've had a real and proper fight."

He lifted a foot to ascend the staircase, then stopped. He smiled, a wolfish grin, and tilted his head in some measure of deference. It was clear he meant to savor this, wring out every drop of terror.

Harry fed off fear, off terror- he loved it- and if he was going to capture her and torture her horribly, she at least was not going to give him the satisfaction of her fear beforehand. Her hands shook slightly as she fumbled at the clasp of her little purse, but her face remained still an empty- a familiar refuge ( ... )

The wicked smile instantly left the Master's face. Truthfully... he hadn't expected that. Well, not a gun, not again. He wanted the chase, the screams, her abject horror at being discovered to paralyze her. Clearly he had trained her all too well, and that training needed to be undone.

He gave a breathy laugh. "Oh, darling... I'd really hoped you would."

He slowly took a step forward, never taking his eyes off hers. "Don't make this difficult, it really needn't be. Now if you put that gun down, I won't harm a hair on your lovely head. If you don't... well, I may get a little upset."
