"There was never any doubt," he purred, a lethally low tenor. "You've certainly seen firsthand how tenacious I can be, Lucy."
He slid a hand up the banister slowly. "You can scream if you like. Who knows, it may make things more interesting, and you know how long it's been since I've had a real and proper fight."
He lifted a foot to ascend the staircase, then stopped. He smiled, a wolfish grin, and tilted his head in some measure of deference. It was clear he meant to savor this, wring out every drop of terror.
"Or you may run, and I will chase you. Wouldn't that be fun..."

But it would not do to show him that. No, that was what he wanted. Harry fed off fear, off terror- he loved it- and if he was going to capture her and torture her horribly, she at least was not going to give him the satisfaction of her fear beforehand.
