i studied french for years (of course this does not mean i'm good at it), i'm talking about those damned livejournal quizzes and other weird things that provide all those pointless stats. you've seen those right?
the only time i've seen "meme" was when the creator of those stinking livejournal quizzes/generators stuck her/his username on the tags. otherwise, i'll keep checking on this post because i would like to know too.
i know it's pronounced "meem" and it's some sort of like idle tangent or something. like useless information. i think. something like that. it is definately pronounced "meem" though, that much i know.

where do you get the definition for the word meme? what are it's origins. i really find it fascinating that internet language is starting to become something you have to study. before, you could kinda figure out the acronyms and other abbreviations, but i really feel that it's gotten so complicated that it's going to be taught in school one day. probably in a future where computer keyboards are useless since we'll have invented technology that will allow us to type with our brain. by then all the internet slang will have become part of our everyday speech.
