NAME(S): Alma Karma

BACKGROUND HISTORY:
[Link #1: D. Gray-Man Wikia] I could only find one reliable source link, so I'll explain in detail here.
Way back when good hearted people had little say about the creation of the Orders soon-to-be very dark skeleton closet, the Second Disciple Project was created. It was an experiment where wounded or dying exorcists that could no longer fight have their brains be taken out and placed into a synthetic (or artificially made) body in attempts to salavge compatible Innocence users. Alma was the first successful result of this experiment.
Soon after another result appeared, Yuu Kanda. They spent their days underground in the Asian Branch in China being subjected to Innocence compatible tests, all of them ending with both of them being torn to shreds. Not long after Yuu awoke he began to see hallucinations and when the doctors heard about this they decided to put him to sleep. Alma, having overheard this after knocking out the people around the door, knew that he had to save Yuu.
After hearing from the cook how a fish had somehow came up through the canal Alma had an idea. Taking Yuu he ran down into the sewers but was intercepted by the Crow. As a last-ditch attempt to save Yuu he pushed him into the canal. Eventually he (Yuu) was found again and taken to be put to sleep. Alma was placed in restraints but tore apart his body to free himself. Escaping to the Innocence Chambers he was determined to use the Innocence as his last resort to save Yuu from death. Before he could reach the Innocence the Crows attacked and burned him. During the attacks he managed to reach and bond with the Innocence. It replaced his arm in the shape of a sword-wing and killed the Crows. At the same time it split open the cocoons that were holding the Innocence and Alma learned the truth behind the Second Disciple Project; although how much he understood by finally seeing the bodies from which his brain came from was not yet determined.
Somewhere between this point and after Yuu left for the Order to become an exorcist, Alma lost his mind and killed 48 Branch personnels and Yuu was ordered to continuously cut him limb from limb until he stopped regenerating. Nine years later it was revealed that Alma's body was salvaged and as he lay in a comatose state his body was used to create the Third Generation Exorcists.
TIMELINE SUMMARY:
This point in the timeline is just before Alma bonds with the Innocence and ultimately learns of the truth behind the Second Disciple Project. I chose this point because it's the closet I can take him from before he loses himself in what looks like insanity. Also because the urgency he has towards saving Yuu from death and suddenly being pulled into another world would be interesting to play out.
PERSONALITY:
A bubble ready to burst, in both a good and bad way. Alma is normally a very cheery, goodhearted individual who always tries to look on the bright side of things. Despite living his entire life in a dreary underground world where he was submitted to terrible and painful experiments he still manages to smile through it all and buck up. Of course while he can smile through the suffering of this day-to-day life he is also very sensitive to negativity and displeasure from others. He tries his best to make others as happy as he is but is sometimes put down from it. He can also be a jabber mouth as well, Yuu even commenting that he "just likes hearing himself talk". Really Alma is just a jolly, curious young boy who sees the glass half full. He can be clumsy and silly most of the time but his good natured personality help him bounce back to his chipper attitude. Alma is a people's person and finds that he is most happy around other people, even with sour pusses like Yuu.
While still very innocent and naive about the outside world this leads him to being a very curious boy. Asking questions and poking his nose into whatever he can Alma enjoys learning about everything. This also leads him to being what Yuu calls him, a "stalker". Yuu was the first real friend Alma had made in the Asian Branch and so holds a lot of compassion and love for him. When Yuu was in danger of being put to sleep Alma stopped at nothing in attempts to save him. Also depending on the situation he can be mischievous and cunning, like how he came up with the idea of pushing Yuu into the canal in hopes that he could escape through that way.
During the time after Yuu awoke Doctor Chan once commented to Alma (after a fist fight with the other boy) that Alma once had such good control over handling his emotions. Yuu had changed that and most likely for the better. Because of Yuu Alma found himself understanding his own feelings better and realizing that he wasn't completely alone in that small, underground world.
SPECIAL ABILITIES:
Aside from increased super healing and strength, there isn't much else Alma can do, physically. From the latest chapter it appears he can also bond with Innocence but we'll see how long that lasts come the next chapter.
He's also a super stalker.

THIRD PERSON:
"In...no...cence..."
His vision blurred and the colors swam into each other like small waves. A soft darkness slipped over his mind and he was sure he blacked out if only for a moment. Had he been able to touch the Innocence? Surely he had. The smoldering burns on his body stung and sizzled painfully at him, jarring him from the soft darkness over his mind. He was awake but just barely. Slowly he picked out everything he could around him, not too keen on moving just yet.
A floor... It was far from cold, like stone. Wood, then? There was also a smell in the air, besides the one of burnt flesh and drying blood. Salt and crisp, far from anything he recognized. Wherever he was it was dark and humid. Alma began to move and only when the sharp pain of lingering burn wounds did he realize something very important.
He wasn't healing.
Eyes snapping open he looked down at himself - as bast he could, anyways. His skin was red and blistered, mixed in with the dried blood from his last healed wounds. Was this because he touched the Innocence? Breathing in deeply he sucked in the pain and started to move again, this time much more gingerly. Despite this pain he had to go find Yuu and save him. He was his friend's last hope and he couldn't let him down. He just... couldn't. Tears swelled up in his eyes when his mind tried to push into the thought that maybe he couldn't save Yuu. A fat tear drop rolled down his cheek and it made him hiss in pain when it ran over a burn mark. The boy swallowed and carefully moved to his feet, leaning his arm against the wall. Was this room... tipping to the side?
A strange noise called out to him from a window. He hadn't noticed before how it shed blue light into this dark room. Finally he took a small moment to look around. Crates ran across the walls and a door sat poised across from him. Yet his gaze was averted to the window. Limping over he peeked outside into what was his first glimpse of the outside world.
Seagulls cawed and glided over the waters of an ocean he had no name for. Vaguely he remembered seeing pictures of sea birds in a book once but couldn't bring himself to remember their names. His mind was set on other things. Much more... important things. Moving away from the window he made his way over to the door and opened it, biting his lip when the wounds on his hands yelled at him. He'd get out and find Yuu and make sure that he was alright. Whatever had happened maybe the bright blue skies and loud and cheerful birds were a sign that things were actually okay. Tears flooded his face as he moved over these thoughts like a prayer in his mind and limped forward to the outside world.
