There's a lot of controversy over Valentine's Day, and most people seem to fall into one of two categories - those who embrace it and use the opportunity to shower their loved ones with gifts (namely people in a relationship), and those who think it is a commercial load of bollocks and a waste of time (namely, those who aren't in a relationship.)

Personally, I'm one of those who fall in between.  While I do think it is a bit gimmicky, overdone and commercial, I think the spirit of it is something everyone can embrace.  There are so many people who wake up on Valentine's Day and are instantly depressed by the thought that they are single, and therefore have to endure the day surrounded by couples who are indulging in romantic gestures while they themselves are doomed to a life of loneliness and misery.  It doesn't have to be like that.  You don't have to be in love to celebrate V-Day - you just have to love.  Think of all the people you can be grateful for: friends, family, colleagues, neighbors, the cashier who rings up your groceries, the strangers who smile at you as you pass them in the street - anyone and everyone who has touched your life in some way is deserving of this gift.  You are not alone; you never have been, and you never will be.

I'm so grateful for all of you guys.  If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't be who I am today.  Everyone single one of you has moved me in some way, even if it was just a funny comment that made me smile or a word of wisdom that made me think.  Crowbar, JT, Lin, Zy, Rida, Ssuni, Ria, Fluffers, Kalamu, Mana, Dean, How, all of you who are reading this right now - thank you so much for your patience, for your friendship, for your love. You guys mean the world to me <3
