I concur.
I have a seperate lj for all my private entries. It's private because...duh, i don't want anyone to see it. I make it seperate because they're the more important and detailed entries that I have, so it's also easier to look back through instead of having them scrambled all over with my entries here. yep!

that's a good idea because you dont want to get your regular entries mixed up with your private ones

I always post Friends Only. And, on an occation, I post private. People get irritated with my lists (that only made sense to me) and things of the sort, and since I'm only writing them in here to store them, why not make it private and save everyone the trouble of reading them? (Keep in mind, it happens like once every two months, so it's not often or anything.)

all my private entries are like letters to myself, forcing me to remember exactly how i felt and what i was thinking at a certain time, so that i can learn from those experiences. they are often very harsh, but they are directed specifically toward me, and that is why i don't want others to see them.
