my best friend got engaged a couple of days ago.  on her birthday.  in new zealand.  i don't have the details because, well, she's still in new zealand and we haven't spoken since she sent me a text message with the news, but knowing the two of them, i'm sure it was extremely romantic and i just know she is over the moon about it.  i've met her

imagine my surprise at returning from NZ and discovering that i'm the subject of your livejournal post! of COURSE you will be a bridesmaid. and we haven't decided location or date yet, because, as you well know, it's difficult being from all over the place, having friends and family scattered around the globe. but, we do have some ideas, which of course i will share with you shortly. we must talk soon. perhaps today?
