Photography course

vickehh and I have recently started a photography course at Evolution Arts. Various people have said that they've heard good things about this course, but it appears the usual teacher is away and we have Denise Felkin taking our course. I like them, particularly the last one.

I think I'd have cropped the first one differently, however, and made the second one mono. (I can show you what I mean at some point, if you care.)

1st: nice shot; composition could be better. Probably in the cropping, not the shooting.

2nd: technically good. Nice use of a shallow DoF. The edge of the wall is a little too straight up the middle for my liking; at least, I think that's what doesn't seem as good as it could be.

3rd: the best of these. It's unfortunate about the lens flare giving the lower gull a red backside, but that's all.
