While the topics are about the future, they don't let kids vote cause many kids support the same candidate either their parents or someone they look up to does. Im an example of that, I'd probably vote for Badnarik, the libertarian candidate. I only know he exists because of my brother. Kids whose parents feel that politics are important probably talk about mainly positive things about whoever they support, so they might not have a balanced view.

You say that as if you think all adults have balanced views. If I wanted abortion, why would I even consider the other sides' arguements.
I say this because I support stem-cell research. I understand that'd it'd be killing "a living being," but I still would rather have cures to common diseases.

No, not all adults have balanced views, and I didn't say that they did. However, adults who are aware know about the arguments that the 'other side' uses and can make arguments back, so it helps being aware of both sides of issues. It's not necessarily "considering," it's more "educating."
Also, you don't have to kill "a living being" with abortion in order to get stem-cells. they can also be harvested out of some of the hundreds of thousands of gallons of fat people have had liposuctioned every year.

most younger people do not quite understand the larger world picture or the economics involved --- not because of age or intelligence itself, but because of lack of experience in the world.... like holding a job, paying taxes, being in the military, or serving on juries, etc. etc.

i agree, most kids don't have to support themselves financially, so they don't have to look at things outside of what affects them directly.
