I have seen Elephant. There was a lot on the news here about it because it was filmed here. It's been awhile since I watched it so I don't remember all the details. I do remember having a smiliar reaction though. It's not really one of those movies that you can say was good or bad. It's just sort of there, wham!

It's an older movie, but I'd heard some things about it and figured I should try it out. It starts out so slow and I knew SOMETHING was going to happen, just not THAT. And then it just ends. Odd movie.

My baby boy is so cute, it's ridiculous really. Kev and Sus drove by the farm and said it was his new house and he just shrugged and said "New house there. Ok." HAHA.

It was a little controversial, ya know, considering subject matter. There was a school shooting in the state, less than 2 hours south, when I was in college.

Then it just ends. That is so right.

I just didn't like the movie, I suppose. Normally, subject matter, touchy or not, is what draws me in; especially when it's controversial. But it was almost like Van Sant was trying too hard or something. I don't know.

Could you just squish the boy or what? He's so matter of fact. "Oh. Yeah. New house. Great. Carry on now." *g*

Yeah, I watched it yesterday and I was really disappointed. It just looked like a bad high school video and then got really graphic at the end. Just weird. So overall, I didn't like it. I just wondered what other people thought. :)
