Well, alot has happened since my last post. I noticed that it was on January 20, and that was just after the funeral of my hubby's mom

Omg I can imagine receiving that phone call and know exactly the terror of not knowing how your child is! I'm glad things turned out so well and that Ashley learned from her mistake. Drinking and driving is illegal for a reason. Glad she learned it!
oh, I thought I was having an outer body experience when I heard the words totalled her car...as I was waking up. She is an extrememly lucky young woman, and the beauty of it all, is that she realizes it and is setting out to make a bad experience turn into one of the best of her life! Just the fact that she is planning on talking to others about drinking and driving is a blessing! Even though she wasnt behind the wheel..I still hold her accountable in the sense that she allowed someone else who had drank to drive and put all 4 of them at risk like that. We couldve lost 2 daughters that night, but praise God we didnt. ((big hugs))
she is doing so much better now! Mentally and physically. It really got to me when I first talked to her after the accident and she didnt even know what had happened. Wow... It was a bad night, and one of some really bad judgement, but to see how she has come out on the other side of all of this assures me that it was worth the whole ordeal. She is one who is going to have to remove herself totally from drinking. See, me...firstly, I dont like the smell or the taste of beer..so Im safe there! lol!!! I LOVE a pina coloda and stuff like that but even then, its just not that often..and when it is...its just one. Her on the other hand....gotta say no to the beer! uck!!!
Amd she probably never will remember, which is a blessing. (that's not the drinking that does it-it's the mind's self preservation) A drink once in awhile, sure, but we all need to learn and know what our limits are.
ABSOLUTELY!!! Its all about moderation! Gosh, just the sugar content in the kind of drinks I like keeps me at one...lol...and usually I cant even finish the whole one drink! Good for me, huh?? ha! we got the snow they had been promising, and I REALLY love to be able to get out and work today, and that is the blessing of the job I have..I dont have to punch a time clock! Basically, I have today thru Friday to get my end of week stores visited...I HOPE I can get to two that are fairly close maybe later today, but if not..I'll just work a little harder on Thurs and Friday! The Mustang does NOT do well on snowy and icy streets! ugh!
hey there!! Thanks!! Yes, much better already! She is able to get temporary assistance too to help her over the couple of months that she wont be working, and also she will be starting to get support for Ayden finally, and what better timing..and also back support!! yay! So in all ways, it is turning around for her in a good way!
*runs over and hugs Sue tight!!* Hi my friend!!! And yes...a VERY good lesson learned, and the changes we are continuing to see confirm to me that it was WELL worth it! Bones do heal and cars can be replaced, thank God! Thank you so much for your love and support! It has touched Ashley to know that so many of my friends have cared about her!
oh yeah it was scarey! its even scarier that I didnt see this until now! lol! She is doing so much better and timing is everything sometimes...she has just gotten some back child support and also her tax refund to help her thru this period of being off work...she will even be able to hopefully put a down payment on a car soon!

A good lesson learned, but in a very hard way . . . I'm sorry you've had to go through so much lately, Dian.
