what the heck was I thinking????

Last week I got the hairbrained idea that I would like to take a job distributing the phone books here in Independence! OMG!! I was driving between my stores with my AC Nielsen job, and I heard an add on the radio to call in to take advantage of this offer to help with the phone books, and I am an outdoor person and I love to walk, so I thought,

oh thanks sweetie! Yeah, I feel like Ive been tossed down a flight of stairs! lol!! Im just glad I didnt really mess my back up! The sprained ankle is much easier to live with, and today its much better! Yeah, sore, but Im lucky! next time I ever get an idea like this, Im sure not going to do it by myself! I figured kind of after the fact that you could sign up several together and share the route! Gee, wouldnt THAT have been a novel idea!!! ha!

Girl, you take it easy. And how would they have known if you'd used 5 people to help you deliver them. So long as they volunteered, who cares?

well, thats just it...and Terry told me from the get go that he would drive the car. Gee, didnt that make sense....but the Dudley DoRight I can be sometimes...Oh, I couldnt break the rules....yeah right! lol!! Finally when I did have him drive at the end of the day, I couldve kicked myself for seeing how much easier it was! grrr! Well, lessons learned! And here is the kicker...yesterday, after this whole nightmare was over with, OUR phonebook was delivered, and it was a team of THREE!!! A driver and two guys! One on each side of the street! OH I about sh##!!! Then I had to just laugh to myself and think of how much I, a woman did, to what those three BOYS will do!!! HAHA!!! Maybe had I gone in there WITH a friend to sign up together we couldve worked together. I think their issue was liability or something, because they really did stress not taking anyone else in the car with you. Even thru what I went thru, I could actually see doing this again IF I did it with a driver and another person! I still had alot of books left

oh, I am so lucky that today I dont have to go anywhere! yay!!! Im pretty sore, but very lucky! The ankle is sore, but I can walk on it, and Im just really glad I didnt hurt my back to where it really went out like it did last year! yikes

Oh dear I hope you feel better soon*hugs* I hope you didn't do any permanent damage to yourself.
There are always three or four people going down our street delivering the phone books, each takes so many houses and the driver parks about midway between all the houses. I thought about doing it once but I changed my mind.

thank you so much! No, I fortunately didnt hurt myself bad! Im SO glad my back didnt get screwed up like it did last year when I merely bent over and it went out! yikes! Yeah, I do feel like Ive been pushed down a flight of stairs and yes, the ankle is hurting, but I can walk on it! Luckily, I dont have to even leave the house today or all weekend for that matter! yay
