Thursday I drove to Albany to spend the afternoon and evening with lorres. Friday, I drove on to Niagara on the Lake to take in plays with a Witful Turnip. I am really sorry you are sad. I wish George could have been the person you needed him to be. It doesn't sound like that was going to happen, and I have a small amount of relief, for I would not like to see anyone take control of your life. Share it, support it, and nurture it--yes. You have a strong ability to make good decisions and a wonderful diversity of life. Hugs to you, my friend. May happier moments come to you--quickly.

Interesting that you thought he was taking control of my life. What am I missing that I don't see that?

Thank you for your support. It means a lot.

Admittedly, my stellar conclusion is subject to flaw, since I never met him. Why did I think he wanted the control?

When he asked you to make a choice, he chose to do something different.
When he agreed to terms, such as the schedule for staying over, he chose to stay at different times.
He seemed to establish his "place" in your life by his things in your workspace, and dropped in specifically when he said he would not.
His complaining about you controlling when he appeared to be passively-aggressively countering your wishes.
He just seemed to be frustrated that he was not getting you to act the way he wanted instead of seeing the wonderful person you are.

Thank you for this. Yes, he was controlling in all those ways. In addition, he kept trying to fix my life for me. As if I didn't have an amazing life....
