Some pretty much sober Scottish girls tonight told me that my DJ set was "perfect". Later they came up and said that they "thought it couldn't get any better but each record you play is just even more amazing". Frankly I had to agree. about 5 hours. lazy sunday style - i go to the bar, dj sitting down over a beautiful vintage soundsystem while reading the newspaper, and the nice barmaids bring me all the food and booze i can fit down my neck. it's an ok job as jobs go.

Should be able to manage the last 3, the gwen mccrae one is on vinyl though, and my turntable is iffy... however when it's up i'll be able to rip vinyl *very* easily with my magical i-River.

It's from a recent album of Atlantic soul tracks remixed. The King Britt v Kool And The Gang 'Warm Summer Night' on there is really good too.

Fab aren't they? I've yet to see them live but that album is a bit special. Sadly under-hyped by the label though.

yes, you're setlists are always pretty varied. wevie stonder and stevie wonder in the same afternoon. dammit you've got 'la ritournelle' remix too...
i've never heard one dove's cover of 'jolene' though....although i was tempted to unleash strawberry switchblades' version a few months ago.
