Look, they got boy whores! Isn't that thoughtful? - Kaylee, Heart of Gold
----------
After the funeral, the crew of Serenity joined the ladies and gentlemen from the Heart of Gold for a light lunch. Jayne took particular delight in "comforting" his companion of the last twenty-four hours, much to the dismay of Mal.
Simon had managed to miss the scene, as he imparted final words of medical advice to Petaline, and gave Jonah one final check-up. He was on his way back downstairs when one of the lads bumped into him.
"Excuse me," Simon muttered with a faint smile. He moved to side-step the boy, but was brought up short as the other moved to intercept. Simon stared at him. "Is there a problem?"
"No sir, was just on m'way to see Petaline an' Jonah." The boy made no move to keep walking, however. He merely looked Simon over, a hint of a smile betraying his true intentions.
Simon shifted under the scrutiny, suddenly uncomfortable. "Well, both mother and child would be happy to have you visit," he said, trying to take control of the situation. "If you'll excuse me, I need to get back..."
The lad put a hand on Simon's chest, stopping the doctor from brushing past. "You really so eager t'go back, Doctor? Sure you wouldn't mind a quiet spot to...relax a bit after the day's excitement?"
Simon smiled kindly and gently removed the hand on his chest. "No. I'm fine. I really ought to get back to my crew."
The lad took the opportunity to shift his hand so he could thread fingers with the doctor. Simon blinked, feeling the colour draining from his face. "Surely, Doc-"
"Apologies, friend," Simon said hastily, cutting the boy's speech off. He freed his hand and redoubled his effort to get away. "But I'm not...I don't like...boys..."
The lad grinned. "Fancy a man, then, do ya?"
"What?! No!" The flustered doctor finally gave up and turned on his heel. "I'm not sly!" he said before disappearing through the doorway, heading out back instead.
The lad watched the spot for a long time, a grin playing over his face. Then, with a shrug, he bounced off. "...Pity."

A/N: Because it's not clear from the story, the prompt used was He to his body suits but suits in vain, playing off the definition of the word suit found at Dictionary.com: -- the wooing or courting of a woman: She rejected his suit. Twisted the defin'tn a bit to fit with my idea ;)
