When it comes to surgical cases and deciding how to run my OR, yes. Absolutely, I am. I don't think that it's unreasonable to want to sedate a patient that has to undergo surgery. A general is much more efficient than a local. It's also easier for the anesthesiologist to manage in case of complications. How do I know this? Maybe by being an ( Read more... )

BKA.

Below the knee. It's a fairly simple procedure and one I've done many times, Alex. However, in this case it was supposed to only be a couple of toes...until we got in there and took a look at the soft tissue.

And no, Dr. Rasgotra rightly pointed out that the tissue was healthy. The disease had moved into the tarsle...the bones in her foot.
