Abby awakens slowly, the smell of coffee brewing and the sounds of her daughter and husband downstairs coaxing her from sleep. She rolls over and groans, then lifts her head from her pillow when she remembers she doesn't have a shift today - and neither does Lee. The thought makes her waking up routine much more pleasant than usual, and she sits up, reaching for an oversized sweater and tugging it over her head as she gets out of bed.

After using the bathroom, she makes her way downstairs, following the sounds of activity to the kitchen. She can't help but chuckle as she sees the mess her daugther has made on the floor, and she walks up behind the little girl, lifting her up for a kiss. You, baby girl, are making a mess.

Lee's pouring himself a cup of coffee as Abby comes into the kitchen. He automatically reaches for a second mug and pours her a cup too as he shrugs one shoulder. She's happy. Besides, it's easy enough to clean up. He reaches over and steals a cheerio from Lily, popping it into his mouth. So, do I get a kiss good morning too, beautiful?

She smiles, shifting Lily to her hip as she leans into him, kissing his mouth lightly. Hi. You look happy, too.

He returns her kiss and her smile. Maybe I am. I don't have to work today. He grins as he reaches for his cup of coffee
