A school full of gas masks

Children in Honolulu following Pearl Harbor. The use of poison gas was widely feared in WW II, but it doesn't seem to have been carried out. It was one of the worst horrors of the first World War. Hawaiian residents were issued gas masks and were supposed to keep them handy at all times.
