Awww, anniversary!

Wilson managed to get off work early on Friday, the tickets he had ready in his pocket. Tomorrow was his and Stephen's first anniversary, so it seemed only fitting that they do something different for it.

He entered the apartment, setting down his bag. "Stephen?" he called. "I have a surprise for you."

"Uh." Stephen quickly drags the chair, waving at the smoke alarm in hope that he'll catch it before it goes off. Frantic, he pries out the batteries and rushes to the oven. "Just a second! I'm, uh-- hang on!"

Wilson headed into the kitchen, raising an eyebrow at the smoke. "Did you try to cook?" he asked, surprised.

"I said hang on," Stephen sighs, closing his eyes and dropping his hands in defeat. "It was supposed to be a chicken. It looks like a football."

Wilson couldn't hide his smile, wrapping his arms around Stephen's waist from behind. "But you tried," he said. "That means a lot." He kissed his neck.
