Hardcore = lame. Hardcore = trying too hard to look like a hardass to disguise the inner pussy. Hardcore also = music that all sounds the exact same and is totally pointless because you can't understand the fucking words and you keep wondering what they are until you finally get unlazy enough to look them up on a lyrics site.

Smoking is also lame. But not immoral, so I don't see what morality has to do with it. And it is your right to smoke. It is also those people's right to complain about it. So that's why you're supposed to argue back at them if it bothers you so damn much. Or hit them. That works too.
