if we are all one (we are all little parts of the whole) then the questions wouldn't be that hard to answer because no matter what our actions they are always for us because by doing something of kindness for someone else is really for us.
I need to brainstorm this out before I type it up but that is where I'm going to start from and hope I can expand on that more soon to really answer the questions
1)Is an individual capable of kindness when it is not in his/her best interest to do so?
Yes, you might have to bite your tongue for a loved one of yours to benefit from someone you don't *really* like.
2)Have you ever been a party to such kindness? - either giving or receiving
Giving - not aware of receiving ;)
3)Is mankind, as a species, a force for good on our planet? and why/why not?
Interesting one - I don't know what plants and animals would do to each other if left to their own devices. I'd assume they'd do the natural selection thing and regulate/balance each other out.
