Tax Appeal Time

Your Government in Action..Today I went before the Douglas County Board of Tax equalization to appeal a tax increase on my new home. I bought the house in 9/29/2009 for 64K and the bank had also assessed it at 65K

Well done. I am delighted to see others taking advantage of the system, last year we appealed our valuation and had it reduced from $475k to $300k, in our neck of the woods a very substantial saving on our taxes.
