Getting Edgy

The Universe with 'edges'Lots of interesting new images to post - deep-sky objects, planets, the Moon, wildlife and other 'nature themed' stuff. I think today we will have fun with 'edges' - i.e. - objects that are either presented 'edge-on' or have a rough/jagged appearance

Beautiful.

Years and years ago, when I first crawled onto the World Wide Web, I ran a science fiction forum called Galaxy'S Edge. I never tire of the photos of edge-in galaxies, and the whole concept that something that tremendous HAS boundaries just tickles something inside me.

Nice! A lot of detail in both of those large images. I'd really love to see NGC 4631 at higher magnification.

You're spoiling us with the shinies! It always makes me happy to see your images of Saturn, and I also think NGC 4565 is especially gorgeous.
