Viruses can go on forever, or you can develop post-viral malaise. The only cure for either is rest, fluids, vitamin C, and a bunch of hippie herbal shit.
Dehydration can make a virus feel worse. Make sure you're drinking enough water, especially if you're taking painkillers to get through the day.
Well, I've been exercising a little because a) I feel like shit when I don't and b) sometimes it helps me get better. But I'm drinking lots. Some of it is even water!

Your body needs zinc to help fight infections, from memory. Start with buying some of that, at the very least.
