The point has been made elsewhere that Warren has been no more homophobic than Billy Graham. I don't know if that's true, but I think it's a fair comparison.

It just bothers me in some way how closely tied out politics and political system is to religion, especially to the judeo-christian god.

I bet after we have a black prez, a women prez, a latino prez, an asian prez, etc. We will still not have a prez of any non-christian religions, and that really bothers me alot. Hell it was thought JFK would lose because he was RC!

We have a Black President. That is a wonderful thing.

If Barack Obama can leave a positive legacy, then this nation will have a second great age. If not, I'm afraid the Repubs will strike and Nero's Rome will be at hand. This is the 21st century and the East is returning to economic and military prominence.
