Did i ever tell you about the habit that formed at work about looking down at your palm and then telling people they're wrong?
Similar to your experience, a good majority of us have smartphones. Whenever someone mentions a fact that's debatable, people are out with their phones, looking down, and factchecking. We realized at some point there's no need for the smartphone anymore. Just the gesture of looking into your palm, looking back at the person, and saying "You're wrong" is good enough.
people even show off their robot arms in movies and games. get with it, amputees. boohoo, you lost your limb. now you have a grappling hook and smoke bomb launcher with 850 GB storage.
that's totally handy, even. you could follow "my leg!" up with "hand me another one." i think machine bodies are a good way to go. less pain, more fun.
