Life, lately, has been full of interesting events. Calvin never thought she'd be waiting to meet her son's fiancee for lunch and discussion of what she would be wearing and doing at the wedding.

Then again, given who she considers her son, perhaps it's less her part that's surprising than his.

Aly had been let in by security, then directed to the room where Dr. Calvin was waiting for her. She knocked lightly on the door frame, smiling.

"Hello, Susan, I hope I haven't kept you waiting."

"Not at all." She stood, and gestured for Alyson to sit. "How have you been?"

She laid a hand on Susan's arm in greeting. She'd hug her, her normal greeting, but knows that the other woman is almost if not more skittish than Karr about that sort of thing.

Aly took a seat, setting her purse aside, and smiled again.

"I'm doing well, thanks. The leg hardly ever twinges any more."

"I'm glad to hear it. You're looking well." Aly was right about Calvin not being a hugger... though less because she was skittish than because she simply wasn't entirely comfortable with casual contact beyond a handshake.
