Temperatures are rising here. I started looking at alternative methods for cooling in December -- I thought it would take a few months. After dropping one contracting team for incompetence, found a good one with JR's help -- but they have been very very slow to get going, largely because the owner doubted the newfangled two-stage evaporative cooler

At some point I have to get down there to check out all the cool things you are doing. I wish I had the money to spend on some of the projects I'd like to tackle. It'll happen if when I find a job.

I'd like to hear more technical details about the various energy saving products you are using. I've been on a similar upgrade spree lately, and there are lots of stuff planned for the future. I've also made provisions for easier integration of solar heat and PV electrics among other bits. I just need the funds and to wait for technology to catch up as well.

We had LED landscape lights installed.
Our evap needs new media pads, and were quoted at 400 bucks. We looked locally, and not much choice in the stores. I finally found the exact set for our unit for $125 online.
