My Mum used to have them - she's a big fan. I'm too scared to go and ask her, though, as then she'll know I'm really not writing my essay that was due an hour ago.
3,450 words to go. Yeah!

your mum just keeps moving up on the cool-stakes.
now that you've [hopefully] finished your essay, could you ask her about them for me?

i shall, of course, repay the favour!

Hoho, essay is very much NOT of the finished variety. I am, in fact, for the first time in my life now writing it at Uni as I know that's the only way I won't keep getting distracted by Space Cadet Pinball. I'll ask her anyway, though. Well, when I eventually get home, that is - which shall be at the apocalypse.

Yes, come, come! A dinner-swap sounds great. I can't wait for the break. Cannot wait.

Ah, nice to get those html tags out of my system.

Russ, me ol' salt, that's an axolotl. Salamader larva. If it ever grows up, a la Peter Pan, it will look more like a lizard, which is what most salamanders end up doing, except that one.

I was about to say the same thing. My primary school used to have many of them. Then one day the white one ate the rest.

wowowowow.

that increases coolness tenfold. x10! can they still live underwater when they're a salamander, or are they ... land.... monsters.

oh! how long are they an axelottle for.?... sorry if i'm bugging you but you seem like the authority on axolotli.

when they grow up they are like frogs - they can hang out on land, but need to be near water to maintain a moist skin.

And axalotl make the change due to environmental triggers. Most axalotl won't change. unless you're mean to them. Normal salamanders grow up when it's time to grow up, like tadpoles turning into frogs.

Time to grow up.
