mama, why is that man wearing a washboard?

I drew something. And something cool was thrust upon me.

Firstly, I did that whole social thing this weekend. I am almost getting good at it. Among other festivities I got a couple friends to go to Club Fais Do-Do for an old school 18 piece New Orleans jazz band. I hadn't ever heard of them before, but I was really into seeing an 18 piece band live so I was pretty excited. They turned out to be excellent, all involved were thoroughly satisfied with the upbeat tunes, complete with upright bass, a brass section, a fiddler, two guitars, a keyboardist, a washboard, an amazing lead singer, three back up singers AND two burlesque dancers. The costumes would have pleased you. Any who they were called Vaud and the Villains. Their website is fairly blank, but the pictures can give you a good idea of the atmosphere at least. The gig at Fais Do-Do seems to be regular so I hope to hit it up again.

Then I some how got into a "top my weird song" competition with a friend on Facebook and he threw this at me. This guy was apparently a blind homeless man in New York city that was also a musical genius/composer that invented his own instruments and dressed like a Viking. Wikipedia says he was really into Odin.

And then I drew something. It is only vaguely related to animation in that, this is the waif prototype for the highly unlikely Kinching, Morts & Co. animation.
