His reception around the precinct had been... interesting, to say the least. Those who had known-- as few as possible-- had gone about their days. Some had seemed disappointed he was back, others happy.
But things had gotten done. The case against Maroni was starting to pile up, and if they could get Maroni in the right spot, they'd get Falcone. Things were coming together, bit by bit.
At that, Audrey opened the door and went in, shutting it behind her.
"I know I didn't have an appointment, but when I do set one, you usually forget anyway..." She stopped rambling when she reached his desk and just looked at him a moment.
The formal tone registered - she guessed he wasn't sure who was mad at him and who wasn't over the stunt. She'd been a bit angry when she first found out, but to be honest, Audrey was just glad he was back. Which isn't to say she didn't understand where the people who were mad were coming from.
Still, Audrey was a bit amazed to see him just sitting there in front of her and it showed in her tone when she finally spoke. "You're...really...not dead."
