"mon ami" is French... as is "merde" actually (it means shit). Sorry, it was bugging me to death, because I knew what "mon ami" was but I swore I knew "merde" was French too... ran it through the altavista translator... ::thumbs up::

That can't be right. It's in an Italian book in the library as 'fuck'. *confused, omfg!*

And I don't actually trust Altavista. They've screwed up translations many times for me.

I'll ask Nueva. She speaks French.

And I'll take your word on 'mon ami' since I can't find it anywhere.

I took French class. Actually, "mon ami" is the masculine form, the feminine is "ma ami"... which I think is used in relation to a friend who is a girl... rather than a guy.

I forget, I hated French class.

...Well, as I understand it *talked to Nueva, the French Canadian friend mentioned above* a masculine person says "mon ami" while a feminine person says "ma ami". But I'd have to double check.

Until I can get on the phone with her, lemme keep doing as I do. If Nueva calls me on it and says I'm wrong, I'll change it.
