Notes: This story is part of a set of ficlets exploring the AU described in the episode "E2". Esilia is an Ikaaran woman mentioned in that episode as Karyn Archer's great-grandmother. At the time of these events, Enterprise has been in the past timeline for approximately seven years. This can be considered a follow-up to Introduction, and is Esilia's voice. The Ikaaran festival of Ekaanisvaar (Year's Turning) is celebrated along with the Human winter holidays on Enterprise.
