Shinji winced as Lisa dug her heel into the back of his neck. Somehow, he guessed that simply grovelling on the floor for forgiveness wasn't going to work this time.
"Do you have any idea how long you had these manga? Do you?"
She placed a foot against his face, kicking him so that he'd roll onto his back. Shinji winced, but knew that things could get much worse.
"Well, uh... I kinda forgot I had them layin' around, actually. I-"
"One month, 12 days, and 3 hours. I thought you understood the terms of our lending agreement: you could keep them for one week. Only one week."
"Well I..." Lisa's foot came down again, this time on his chest. Even amidst his verbal lashing, he couldn't help but steal a glance up Lisa's skirt.
"You're not helping your case." Putting more pressure on the foot placed on Shinji's chest, Lisa stepped over Shinji's body and walked over to the chair beside her bed. She picked up the stack of manga in question as she sat, flipping through them all carefully. Shinji took the opportunity to push himself back up onto his knees, brushing himself off gingerly. He watched Lisa page through each manga in turn, clearly searching for folded pages or food stains - anything else she could get angry at him for. He knew she wouldn't find any. He wasn't stupid, after all. He knew what the price for a ruined manga would be...
"Put this on." Lisa tossed a small, metal object at Shinji. Plucking it out of the air with barely a thought, he looked down on it... Then looked again, then looked back at Lisa.
"... Another tongue ring?"
"Yes, replace the one you have in with that one. You have a fine to pay."
Unscrewing the bottom of his current ring, Shinji cocked an eyebrow. "Ben wah ah ou ivin' me-"
"Would you finish before you try talking?"
He put in the new ring, which felt heavier and larger than his usual one. Once the bottom piece was secured, he tried again. "Then why are you givin' me this? Shouldn't I be payin' you?"
"Oh, you are. Twist one side of that ring."
Shinji did, though at this point he knew what would happen. Sure enough, he was met with soft buzz and strange sensation of a vibrating piece of metal on his tongue. He tried to talk again, but the ring touched his front teeth resulting in an uncomfortable shock through his jaw.
"That's right." Lisa casually slipped off her panties, making Shinji think her earlier indignation at having him peek at them was pretty silly if she was just going to show him everything like this.
"You denied me some quality time with those manga - now you're going to pay it all back. I charge ten minutes for every overdue day so you best get started. You'll be here awhile."
