It's a close up, I'm a genius!

The black locust trees have been blooming this week all over town. It's made for some great photo opportunities, not to mention it also smells spectacular. I like taking pictures of the white flowers at night since they show up so well against the black background. Enjoy my obsession with taking pictures of flowers close up why don't you. =P

Last two snapshots have attracted my special attention. I never saw earlier blossoming palm (correctly?). By the way, what is real name of this plant?.

The last one is the early stages of a Red Pine pinecone and the second to last one, I think, is a Virginia Scrub Pine, though I'm not 100% certain about that one since we have a lot of different types of pine trees around here.
