Keanu Reeves to play Spike Siegel in the live action Cowboy Bebop movie. You do NOT screw up the most popular anime ever made by casting Keanu Reeves in your movie, you just don't. Quite possibly the worst casting choice since Jake Gyllenhaal scored the Prince of Persia role. Hollywood, why do you suck so bad?

Have you seen him since he started working on Prince of Persia? He's all buff and non Toby McGuire looking now. Still doesn't look a bit Persian though. lol

I think it's more the thought that they're making a live-action Cowboy Bebop in the first place that gets me than Keanu being in the movie. Honestly when I stop and think about it I can't think of ANYONE I would like to see play Spike. After seeing that cheese-fest that was the Dragonball Z Movie trailer and hearing that Leonardo DiCaprio was going to play Kaneda in the live action Akira movie (which was a rumor that got debunked thankfully but the fact that it was even being considered was shocking to me) I think Hollywood better just stay away from anime movies for the time being. I just don't think they really get it.
