Many Thanks, Part 2
By dracontia
Summary: The day after Christmas, Scorpius dutifully sits down with quill, ink, and parchment. Another “A Credit to Their Houses” sequel, set in our trio’s First Year.
Disclaimer: I could only wish to own such well-bred characters and such lovely stationery.
Dear Aunt Andromeda,
Thank you for the handsome desk set and exercise books. As you can see, I am already putting the Any Color Ink and quills to good use. I think the green ink is most festive, don’t you? I have never used sealing wax before but I quite like the polished look it gives to Grandmother’s and Father’s letters. Please do not think that I disliked the ‘M’ seal; Father thought it ought to be specific to me, so he spelled the stars of the constellation Scorpio on the background.
Your nephew,
Scorpius
(written on the outside of the scroll) Please excuse the appearance of this letter, as sealing wax is proving trickier than it looks.
