Summary: After one night of pure passion, they wake up together. Chapter Two: Draco finds himself enjoying the muggle world a little too much, but a certain brunette plagues his mind...and his apartment.
Weeks had gone by, weeks of drinking, sex and smoking. Not necessarily in that order either, and not every night. Every night though, Draco knew that he’d at least make the memories disappear. It didn’t make him soft…the fact that he wanted to forget and couldn’t handle it, every single time the memory started…it didn’t make him soft.
Nobody could blame him for wanting to forget.
Taking another shot into his hand, Draco began looking around, he noticed a brunette. Walking to her he smirked, “Care for a body shot?” He asked.
She turned around to face him and smiled as she looked him up and down. He wore black jeans and a black tight shirt. His hair was messed, almost as if he’d just climbed out of bed. Pushing her hair aside, she tilted her head back. Draco leaned in and placed the lemon between her breasts, making her brow raise. With a smirk, he licked her neck and placed a bit of sugar over the moistened area. Looking towards her, he picked up the shot glass with vodka in it and with a grin, he leaned in, licking the sugar off and immediately he downed the shot. Grabbing the back of her neck gently, he leaned down and took the lemon into his mouth, kissing her breasts gently as he sucked the lemon and bit into it.
“Don’t I get to know your name?” She whispered to him. Draco took the lemon out of his mouth and licked his fingers off.
“No.” He smiled a bit, “But what’s yours?”
“Nicole.” She told him, her slight accent taking form as she gave him a pouty look. He waved the bar tender over and her eyes brightened a bit. “Are we going to have another?” Draco smirked and turned back to her.
“You’d want another?” He asked, whispering in her ear as he pushed her body up against him.
“Well, I wouldn’t complain.” She murmured.
“You wouldn’t?” Draco’s eyes took an evil glint to them, “I would.” He licked his lips, and leaning back he took his drink and turned away from her, walking off.
It annoyed him.
A few weeks had gone by and all he’d thought about was her. Damn Hermione. He hadn’t wanted to think about her at all, but the second he went to congratulate himself on not thinking about her, he started thinking of her. Why was it so damn hard to just forget about the mudblood?
Rolling his eyes, Draco made his way out of the bar. It was weird, he hated anything and everything muggle but he was hanging out with them in bars. Running his fingers through his hair, he made his way down towards the apartment complex he owned. It felt good to have a business of his own that his father had nothing to do with.
His father didn’t have a single say in anything.
Searching his pocket for his keys Draco looked around. He knew that if his father ever escaped from Azkaban that he’d go after him. So having almost immersed his life with the muggles had been smart. The Malfoy Family had maintained a good name, only because of Narcissa, his mother. After Severus Snape had followed through with his agreement to his mother, Snape had taken Draco to her.
It was all a plan, a game in order to get the two of them away and still be safe.
But they hadn’t needed it. Draco returned to Hogwarts, no one could pin the murder on him, not even Potter. They had tried, only to have to turn their attention on the war. Potter had to save the world from ultimate demise, and he’d done that. Draco sneered, Potter had saved the world and trained to become an auror. He was close to finishing if Draco had read The Daily Prophet correctly. Draco had wanted to become an auror, and had his mother remained alive, he might’ve done it.
Opening and slamming the door to his top floor penthouse of the complex, Draco looked towards the pictures he kept. Narcissa had always kept hem around, so he kept them too in order to keep her memory alive.
‘What happened to her wasn’t suicide’ He still thought that. Grabbing the bottle of vodka he began searching for a shot glass. “Screw it.”
He went to drink from the bottle as he took off the cap when there was a knock on the door.
“Dammit.” He muttered. Putting the bottle down, he opened the door. “What?”
“Draco.” Hermione said, jumping slightly as he glared towards her. She looked over her shoulder, almost hoping that he was staring at someone else. He wasn’t. “I need your help Draco.” He raised a brow.
“Granger, if this is a way to try and get me back into you, try again.” Hermione rolled her eyes as she pushed Draco back into his apartment. “Excuse you Granger.” He muttered.
“Draco. Shut up and stop giving yourself so much credit. Could you for once not think about you or your dick?” She sighed and pushed her hair out of her face, “Listen, I have to get this spell.”
“And you think I’ll have it because…” Draco trailed off.
“Because. You’re family is known for having spells that aren’t even legal anymore.” Hermione said, crossing her arms. “Look, are you going to let me look through your collection or not?” Draco smirked, leaning against his counter as he picked up the bottle of vodka again.
“What are you going to do if I don’t let you?”
“You wouldn’t be that much of a bastard.”
“Ah, you seem to forget what we concluded the last time you were here Granger, in order for me to be a bas-”
“Yes, in order for you to be a bastard your mother and father would’ve had to abandoned you. But you see Draco, they did. So either tell me you’re going to help me or just shut that bloody mouth of yours.” Draco grinned.
“Well now Granger, it’s about time you stood up to someone.”
“Whatever Malfoy. Tell me if you’re going to help me or not.” Draco laughed a bit as he took a drink from the bottle and shook his head as the liquor burned as it went down.
“Mmm, vodka’s good. And from what I remember, vodka was the drink of your choice that night.” He pulled out a shot glass from his cabinet, smirking as he found it. “Care for a drink Granger?” Hermione kept her arms crossed, but as Draco watched her he saw the tip of her tongue moisten her lips. “You sure Granger? You do look thirsty.” Draco reached back, finding his cigarettes on the table.
“Malfoy. Just give me an answer.” Draco slid the cigarette between his lips, finding a match he tilted his head as he looked towards her.
“You tell me first.”
“I’m not going to sleep with you again.” Draco stopped just before he lit the cigarette and taking it out of his mouth, he walked up towards Hermione, his body pinning her up against the wall. He stuck the cigarette behind his ear as his hands traveled down and grabbed her wrists, and pinned them above her head.
“Granger, do you think that I want to sleep with you again?” He murmured, his lips just barely an inch from hers.
“Why else would you want me to drink with you?” Draco grinned as his legs separated hers a bit further and her pressed their bodies closer. His breath was on her neck as she leaned in, and her pulse quickened.
“Do you think that I want to kiss you again, Granger?”
“You are getting really close to me, Malfoy.” Draco looked up into her eyes and smiled a bit as he moved back a bit. Hermione felt her pulse begin to slow down but before she had a chance to really recover, Draco had her pinned against the counter as his hips pressed against her own and she felt his arousal.
“There’s one thing you’re missing, Granger.” He told her. Hermione raised a brow.
“Oh really? And what…what might that be?” Hermione asked as she almost leaned in herself to kiss Draco. He chuckled, gently brushing his lips against hers before he crushed their mouths together. His tongue ran against her lips and pushed it’s way into her mouth.
He tasted like vodka.
She couldn’t help but give into the kiss, it had been on her mind and to have his body pressed against hers as their lips smashed against one another she fought to free her hands. He kept them pinned behind her as he leaned her back against the counter and his lips took assault on her neck. Biting her lower lip, Hermione tried to keep herself from feeling anything, but the fact that she felt him and her body was warming up the second she had walked into the door she couldn’t deny it.
“Draco…” She murmured, almost turning his name into a moan. He pulled away, still pinning her arms back as he did. Their eyes met.
“You see Granger, what we did wasn’t sleeping together. Matter of fact, there was no emotion.” His lips curled into a sneer as he let go of her hands and ran his fingertip along her own mouth. “It was fucking.” He backed away from her and took his cigarette, lighting it. Taking a long and deep drag he leaned against the wall. “Whatever it is you want to find, it’ll be in that room over there.”
He pointed towards the second bedroom of his suite that he could’ve turned into another room, but for him, it was a safe place to keep the family’s treasured things. Spells. It was what made the Malfoy family what it was today. Hermione bit her lip, trying to recover as quickly as she could without letting Draco know how he affected her.
“Thanks…” She choked out.
“Don’t be thanking me till you find what you’re looking for Granger, not that I really care.” Draco turned his back away from her as he walked towards the door to his room. Seconds later he walked out and grabbed his black leather jacket. “Feel free to copy the spell onto paper and let yourself out.” He told her, grabbing his keys.
“Where are you going?”
“Out.” Draco said, grabbing the door handle he opened the door. Glancing back for one second, he saw the small sway of Hermione’s hips as she walked towards the opposite room. He laughed at himself and shook his head.
He almost wanted to stay with her.
