Pete mumbles sleepily into Mikey’s ear.  Hemmy’s footsteps echo in the silence of the morning, a faint clicking sound where his paws hit the linoleum floor. Mikey sighs in his sleep.  Outside a woman is yelling and a car horn blares; there’s so much noise outside their little bubble of
