Here here! That was a very interesting essay. I had one issue though. You can't organize the poor. Just not gonna happen. People think you're arguing because they don't know you well enough. Don't worry, Liz. In two weeks, we can get all discussion-y together. No strings attached!

I think it is possible to organize the poor, but shit has to get a lot worse than it is to do so (ie. Russian Revolution, The Long March, etc.). Additionally, the poor used to be organize in the form of labor unions, and I believe by strengthening labor unions (and yes, there are labor unions for the service sector that are gaining momentum) that it could be possible to bring many of these issues to the forefront.

But that's me trying to be optimistic.
