I Called It and I am Well Pleased (or J.K. Rowling adhered to her book naming pattern)

When book 4 came out, I saw the beginning of (the second repetition of) the pattern almost immediately. So it's glaringly obvious, but at the time I was fourteen and rather pleased that it jumped out at me--and of course the last three books didn't exist yet. Cut me some slack. *grins*

Forgive my ignorance, but who's Varro?

Varro was a Roman academic who wrote... well, frickin' scads of stuff, and he liked to do the same thing in his longer works, organize the books according to a repetitive theme, a book on people, a book on places, a book on dates, another book on people, another book on places, another book on dates, and so on and so forth.

I don't think I agree with your conclusion, but I won't know for sure until I've read the book.
