Photo post from the west village

What a blast.

After wandering the village for 2 hours, I now know where there is a cafe with a single ethernet cord hanging next to a chair. I have said plug. I am online. I am posting...

First, the St. Patrick's day parade. Pipers Galore. The parade was wonderful. Redheads and freckles everywhere, bagpipes, children dancing in the streets, large groups of apparently important irish people walking down 5th avenue. Magnificent. Also, this old guy, abstracted.

Obviously, I take the train everywhere. There are, obviously, a lot of people on the train, and here's one who was absolutely not on the train, an older one, sit here, I am the Third Eye (self portrait), Grand Concourse, A musician in the Times Square station (abstract).

HARLEM

For my african american history project, I wandered Harlem. It'll sound better than that when I present, of course. I was called the white devil by a group of large black men. I was about to say that I'm jewish, but I realized that they're muslim, too, and pretty pissed. The Cotton Club, one of the oldest jazz bars in NYC. I couldn't go in- a performance was about to start, and it costs $30 to get in for a performance. Gotta pay those musicians. A View from east Harlem, and the Lord.

Now, some buildings!

West of Times Square
unknown location, NYC
42nd and 8th

I went to the met, which was killer. Calder & pals, Bamboo in the japanese garden exhibit. I spent most of my (limited) time in the modern & japanese wings, hence a picture from each.

finally, a picture from the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors.

Peace.
