The Big O Visual

Been searching for the damned thing since at least 2008. Honest. ISBN 4-57-529579-5, it's for sale nowhere and it's for download in even fewer places.

What it is happens to be a 100+ page concept art book from the creators of The Big O. It's keenly relevant to my interests due to being very retrofuturist in a style I refer to as "raygun gothic"; ( Read more... )

Ehehe... Yes, I'm aware of the Japanese sites; sorry. What I should've added was 'at a reasonable price'. Shelling out upwards of a hundred smackers for this is a little rich for my blood, I'm afraid. I'd be willing to pay as much as $30, but with those prices (shipping from Nippon not included!) it's just an unacceptable luxury for someone with no income. I've got a whole list of ~$10-20 books that I'm denying myself, so paying several times that would be no good at all.
On a (financially) related note, I've been looking into college registration for spring. Still too chickenshit to actually go there, or even call on the phone for that matter, but it's creeping along a little.

As for the manga - I spoke too vaguely, again! I already have all the official stuff. Have yet to read most of it, in fact... Ha. What I chiefly meant was doujinshi. Would you believe it that some people on IRC manga channels don't even know what Big O is?

Spring 2011? You could try to set up a meeting with a counselor via email; they’re required to check it several times a day.

Yeah, Big O doujinshi is pretty rare to come by. If I could draw worth a damn, I’d make an Attack of the Killer Tomatoes spoof.

Spring 2010 actually - if I can help it. E-mail is a good idea, and I'm meaning to go ahead with it.
