Dr Seward's Diary

Nov 03, 2006 13:49

3 November. - We heard at Fundu that the launch had gone up the Bistritza. I wish it wasn't so cold. There are signs of snow coming; and if it falls heavy it will stop us. In such case we must get a sledge and go on, Russian fashion.

I bet he does in his head, and one of the others taps him on the shoulder while he's writing and he lifts his head and starts speaking to them in a bad Russian accent.

Our temperatures have dropped, so I'm particularly reacting to all the mentions of cold and snow. brrrrrr
