Dracula's Guest

As a present for anyone missing their vampire literature, here's the short story 'Dracula's Guest' as published by Florence Stoker several years after her husband's death. It's often described as a missing/extended first chapter to Dracula, although it doesn't really fit into the structure of the novel that way. See what you think, and enjoy!

On the one hand, I wish this had made it into the book, because the scene in the graveyard is so deliciously creepy and amusingly backwards (with what I have always interpreted as Dracula in wolf form protecting Jonathan from the other vampires).

On the other hand, I'm glad it didn't make it in, because Jonathan was being insufferably smarmy in the earlier bits. :p
