paid off the remainder of my student loan, woo! $3,489.43 and I'm free, FREE! Awesome :D I've been pondering for a while now making that last lump sum payment, and I've decided that now is a good time to do it. Better than letting it sit there, accruing more interest (even though my interest rate's gone down by about 2%. It'll be great getting that

Awesome! Last year we used our tax return to pay off Brian's car and it felt awesome! Hooray for financial responsibility!!!

Hmm... my tax return and the "stimulus package" actually did make up for about 2/3ds of my loan payment, though I didn't think about it in that way. Yes, hurray financial responsibility :D

Hah I actually logged on the site (I make all my payments to them online) and it said I still owe them $0.61, which I found very odd because I have no idea where they pulled that number from, since I gave them as much money as my balance was at the time. And I tried to pay it off, but the online system won't let me make payments under $1.00. So I'm going to have to call them up to take care of it, grrr.

But yes, it definitelly is a great feeling! :) It didn't take me so long to pay because overally I think I only had about $15k, which isn't all that much considering I was in school for 5 years.
