I vote yes, and here's why.

Surprisingly, this has nothing to do with the fact that you're already married to me and I'm a selfish bastard. No, in fact this has to do with what I've seen around me.

I know of 3 couples that got married all before of the age of 21. Well, in one couple, the guy was 22 at the time, but that hardly counts. Anyway 2 are divorced and the other is currently talking to divorce lawyers. It's a common trend. People fall head over heels in love and then get married and suddenly realize all of the responsibility that comes with it.

All of a sudden, you're handling finaces of two people. You're dealing with living together in the sense of when before it was ho hum, we're living together, and now it's holy shit.... we're living together....forever ( ... )

sean and i are both financially independant people. (i essentially rent from my parents . . . and i pay WAY too much.) but i understand what you are saying. i suspect if we get engaged next year, we'll be waiting another year on top of that for the actual thing. of course, this is hypothetical. i could just die tomorrow, you know, that type of thing.
